Does anyone make a decent door emblem for the 71 GS and 72 GS ragtop? I have a set here from Year One and they are garbage. I'd rather go without than use em but maybe somebody makes a decent set or has a set for sale? Thanks Tim
I got mine last year from OPG and they were beautiful. I don't know if they still have them but it's worth a shot.
I looked on their website, it looks like the same one except maybe they painted the little emblem which does make it look better for sure. Maybe I'll try that or maybe I'll just send them back. I've had very bad luck ordering from OPG.... Thanks
The pic on the website looks alot worse than what I got from them, Maybe they changed suppliers. Too bad... what they show in the pic looks like Crap. :spank:
You should have bought two sets!! :laugh: All the repros are totally wrong, still have the originals on my stage 1, there is no recessed circle area, the buick tri-shield is recessed, and there is a circle but its just an engraved line, not a depression. I wonder if a guy could get that copied somehow on a milling machine? Oh well..
Thanks for saving me money Tim! I'll keep my originals and forget the repros. How hard can it be to repro stuff right? Apparently pretty tough as 99% of stuff is way off!
The repro I got looked just like the my original except that it wasn't pitted. What they show in their pic is not what I got from them. Like I said that was probable two years ago when I ordered them. I agree it shouldn't be that hard to make a correct part.
Problem is why would they use that pic if it's better than that?? I'm not dropping 40.00 to see if they have changed vendors!! Glad yours are good. I'm looking into having some made..the pins on the back seem to be the sticking point....cost as well.
