Don't understand the Sloan Documentation I received tonight

I received confirmation that the 72 GS I purchased was indeed a Stage 1 car tonight. BUT, I don't understand the documention with regard to the transmission The sloan info states that it was a BB code (accessories and options) which is the B2 + B7 option.
B7 is the consolette 4speed manual floor shift trans and bucket seat required and B2 states Turbo HydroMatic 400 transmission.

It certainly appears to be a factory 4 speed car. The carpet appears to be original and the consolette looks likes it's been there from new.

Can anyone help me out here?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Steve,
I have a Sloan sheet for Dustin's car and BB is B 3 and B 7,which is a 4 speed and consolette. It appears that B 2 is only available with BC (B2+B4) and BE(B2+B8).Hope this helps.

    Still not clear

Is Dustin's car a 1972? Because the 1972 Wholesale Car Order form shows BB as being B2 + B7 I was hoping I misread it the first few times.............
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Yeah,
Dustin's car is a GS 350 with automatic and I have all the sloan documentation for it here.Funny thing here is that Sloans paper work seems to be mistaken on it.I looked at it again and see the part you are referring to.We got all of the original paperwork with his car including the original wholesale order form that was used to order the car from new and it has BB listed as B3+B7 and on Sloans copy its listed as B2+B7.If you want to see the difference,I can scan them to show you the mistake.

If it isn't too much trouble that be great. It may give me something to hang my hat on....

    Steve,
    WILL DO!
Just wait till you see the differences there is on these. The original has S-525-H-72 on the lower left side below the customers name box.The Sloans has S-525-H-72-1 on it.Iread awhile ago about this but don't recall all of the info.Maybe,Marco or Duane can shed some light on it.

I have two wholesale order forms for 1972 GS's and the first version has "BB" listed as B3 + B7, the second wholesale order form is Rev 1 and it lists "BB" as "B2 + B7". This must be a typo on the Rev 1 form because "B7" does state that "B3" is required.

To add to Mike's comments, the order form is wrong and an additional revision came out later to correct this problem.

If you look at either 1970 or 1971 (from my website), BB is listed as B3 + B7.

Chalk another one up to 'quality control'

    Steve,

Congratulations and please post some pics!

I got my Sloan info I last year and had the same questions you had but they seemed to be answered by Marco and also when Mike Trom did my window sticker, which you can check out in my signature.
