Does this 66 Skylark GS clone look familiar to anyone?

I just picked up a 66 Skylark 455 GS clone. It spent 2 years in Idaho and may have come from Nebraska before that. I’m looking for info on this build if anyone recognizes it.
The only change I know of that the gentleman I purchased it from made was he changed from an Edelbrock 600 cfm carb to a 600 cfm Holley. This car has a 12 bolt rear end, ‘71 455 engine, TH350 trans, GS hood, front disc brakes, no front fake fender vents, front/rear Buick emblems and holes have been deleted, red 455 decals on front fenders, white 455 H.O. Sticker on right side of trunk, Hurst Pro-Matic floor shifter, US Mag Cragar knock off wheels with BFG’s, and Poston S Divider intake manifold. Also has had the driver side front floor pan and rear quarter patch panel done.
I’m curious about what’s been done to the engine and if the trans is built. Thanks

Should be easy for someone to recognize with the added rocker panel mouldings.
    Possibly chevelle trims.
    Clean looking car.
Not sure why such a small carb on a 455 tho.

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing when he told me it was a 600.

I wanted to buy that car when it was for sale in Idaho. Things didn't work out for me. Here's a screenshot that has the old owners number in it. Maybe you could give them a call. Screenshot_2017-01-18-18-41-19.png

Wow thank you. I had to jump through many hoops to get the car. I spent 2 days in Idaho before I could get it on the trailer and bring it home. How long ago was it for sale when you were looking at it? The owner before me bought it in January 2017. His number is different than the one you posted.

The guy had it listed November 2016. I remember it was listed for a couple months. I remember I was trying to figure out how to get it home during the winter months. Now I'd just pay someone else to transport it.

Congrats on the car btw. I remember it looked a solid car in the pictures. I would definitely look into putting an 800cfm quadrajet on it. That baby deserves it!

Out of curiosity, do you remember how much it was listed for? The more I look into this car, the more goodies I find :). I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. It's a beautiful car and although it isn't a perfect show room car, it's well worth every penny I paid for it.

Agreed, the 600 is way too small. My plans are an 800 Quadrajet.

If I remember correctly it was listed for $10500. It's for the best that it didn't work out because I probably wouldn't have purchased the 67 GS400 I have now.

It may have been $12k. Either way it was that range.
