I was looking up blower intakes and they all seem to be 1000 dollars or so. Does everybody buy these that roots blow a buick engine? Don't know if anybody has done this but doesn't it make to kinda fab up your own. Like a 1/2 inch alum plate. Cut it to shape and, clean up, drill, tap and weld it to a single plane intake. Use alum sheet to connect the two in a somewhat smooth fashion. Add a couple of supports to it so the blower doesn't crush the sheet metal. The only reason I can see this not working is the stock carb opening cant support enough air volume but it seems like it should be able to.
I would use a Mopar intake. You can purchase on on the cheap and someone here made the adaptors. Look for them with the search feature.
To save you a lot of time and trouble, TAPerformance sells the flanges for making your own intake or adapting another brand to fit one a BBB. I bellieve their only $85
if your industrious... you can make one from an offy 2x4. It's been done. But i agree. if i wanted an blower... i would go with the mopar 440 intake and a pair of intake adapters. here is a set up here http://mrbuick.com/more_buick_pictures.htm
http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=3504&highlight="larry+bell" Larry Bell has made an intake for that blower. His name and more info is in the link above. ElectraJim
