Does anyone on the board work for autozone? If so I'm interested in what type of company it is to work for?
I dont know about Autozone, but I have some experience with Pep Boys. Worked in the service dept. Im sure they're very similar companies. Lets put it this way, I started getting chest pains from the stress. No joke. I quit and started working for Snap On. A year later my old service manager at Pep Boys collapsed from a heart attack.
Four Years I worked for them for four years, and i would not work for them again. The manager that I worked under was fired after 21 years for nothing. I figure the fire the old guys making 60,000 plus, and hire young guys at 30,000. Some company to work for huh?
I work for Auto Zone for about three years and never had a problem with the company. Before that I worked for Advance Auto for four years which I beleve to be a better company to work for. Jim
That's good to know, I think that's pretty much the way most companys work. I was just laid off after 13 years with the same brokerage firm. They laid off the two highest paid guys in the department, me and my boss. It sucks but life goes on.
