    Nice car:

In one of the YouTube comments someone says this:

Not sure if that's true or not....

I did some research and the "Standard Catalog of Buick 1903-2004" says this about the brand new model year 1936 Century:

I also found this on a website:

...I get your attraction. For me it's a '54 Skylark, black with red interior and wheel wells, and KH wheels:cool:. Saw it being traded at dealership where I worked, and I can still see it...

Less the wheels, I had the same car in Black. I'm still beating myself up for selling it. In addition to looking great and being extremely comfortable, it was a really nice car to drive.

I'll take the 53 without the 54 enlarged rear wheel well cutouts...

I would bet that 90% of the 1953 Buick Skylarks that I have ever seen were that shade of Blue. When I was a kid I grew up in the same city where the bandleader and singer Vaughn Monroe lived. I even delivered the Sunday newspaper to his home. His daughter (Chrissy or Christie, I'm not sure which was her name) drove a Skylark exactly like the one above. I'll bet daddy gave it to her when he bought his '57 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. Vaughn was definitely a car guy, he also had an airplane.
