Does a stock 1970 455 have double valve springs

    Just brought home a 1970 (SF) motor that sat for 20 years. It has the correct head casting numbers(1231786). However it has double valve springs is this correct for a stock engine? :Do No: :Do No:

    If the inside spring is "flat" then it's a damper to help with harmonics.

    It is flat.Thanks. Alan does it provide any performance / no valve float?

    Yea Ernie I was going to drop the engine in but I may have to to a little head porting. Stage one valve Oh no here I go. Nice meeting you and your woman take care of the baby. A car seat was made for a Buick. :laugh: :laugh:
