All the pre-1972 HP goeroes: Eat your heart out ..... This car even has more grunt in SAE HP than your old mill in gross HP.... The quest for the last muscle car continues......
If you buy one of these cool wagons, "Opa" Korrie, I will mail you a NL sticker to stick on the back :bglasses:
Are they going to put that motor in something other than station wagons & pick up trucks? Edit Oh yea I see they are going to put it in the Charger. Cool put that against the new goat.
I like um! "it may be powerfull but in my opinion it looks horrible. how about a little style. Bob" I guess thats why they make so many different cars. I bought one for my daily driver because I like the looks (see attachment). I just could not go for the looks of to GTO (too much like the rest of the Pontiacs). Mike carcrazy455@yahoo.com
I wish I had a cool "Oma" like that !!! :bglasses: :TU: You also want a pair of the minature Dutch "Buick" wooden shoes, Korrie ? I promised Beth to put a pair in the mail for her after I meet up with the man who makes them on a car show this coming summer.
I think magnums are the ugliest thing on the road. I don't care how much power the thing has! I've made better shapes in the toilet.
I also don't care much for the Magnum. uzzled: :error: But I will admit that they look alot better in person than in 2-dimensions.
Something doesn't add up. 425 net HP (probably 500 + gross) goes high 13s. 360 gross HP Stage one goes high 13s Sounds like they picked 425 out of the air to match the old HEMI horsepower.
....and I was thinking just the opposite - I Love the way they look in pictures but think they're kinda F'ugly evertime I see one in person o No:
Yeah, that'll do it......It's like my 350 GS conv ....runs 15.50 stock with only 19o net HP, but a good deal of torque. There are torqueless new cars claiming out there claiming 250 hp but only like 190 torque struggling to run 15s weighing less.
And how much SAE torque do you think a 1970 455 engine has ? The Dodge has 420 SAE lb-ft, a 1970 gsX has 510 GROSS lb-ft.....
The car needs a diet lol If you guys look at the weight its 4260. Pretty good for a wagon but for a modern day performance car its kinda porky. Patrick
