I too respect MOPAR for returning to the V8 RWD large family sedan and wagon. Too bad Buick is stuck in V6 FWD mode. At least Cadillac is finally seeing the light - big cars should be Rear Wheel Drive and have V8s (sorry CTS).

I'll buck the trend and say that I LOVE the way the 300 looks, and I don't like the magnum. I read an interesting article that stated a return to rear wheel drive make sence for many of the reasons that the switch to front wheel drive was made. In minor front end collisions repairs are cheaper, better weight distribution and the fact that for an expereinced driver, rear wheel is better in the snow <- I've said that for years, try to find somebody that agrees is hard.

On a somewhat related note, I had a chance to check out a 1957 300C up close the other day. It had a 392 Hemi with 375 horses. They guy said it runs the quarter in the over 16's because the car weighs close to 4,500 pounds. That car is huge!

I think it's strange how a car like that, with a motor like that, was pushed aside by so many people that year in favor of a 283 CI Belair.

I also have to say I like the 300 much better than the Magnum. I hear theres a Charger coming too on the same platform.

The UK will get a RHD version of the 300 next year apparently, so they are really got balls to do that. American cars don't usually sell well here (except the Jeep Cherokee and Chrysler Voyager).
