Throttle body injection would be easier to do than multi port.

Well, I've done just that: EEC IV in a 215. It's MAF multiport 1994 5.0 Mustang. Have you tried anything?

The only engine that I put efi on was a jeep 258 streight 6 in my pick up. I made a mistake by putting a rv pulling cam in the basic engine and then installing the factory 4.0 jeep efi. with it. The cam wasnt compatible with the computer. This gave me a high speed miss that i could not tune out of it. No matter how far you drove it , when it got into high gear it had that miss. I drove it for 4 years that way,[ yep, I am a hard headed cuss] It would run like a bear down in the gears and gas milage wasnt bad. But that miss was always there. After sever attempts to get the computer reprogramed and failing, I realized that to get the miss out I either would have to change the computer and wiring harness or change the cam and lifters. So I took the easiest way out . I changed back to a carb. A holley 600 cfm 4 bbl. Runs like silk and the milage is about the same.

I am retired now and living on retirement pay. However I am still thinking about how a 401-425 nail head would run with efi. There was one that I saw with what appeared to be a chevy set up adapted to it that looked really good. Dont know the details but it looked super boss. If the components would not cost a lot , I would like to build one but like i said the easiest one to do for a nail head is the ''wet''systems like a holley projection and a computer to match it. To me it looks like a marriage of fi and the heat vaporization of the intake manifold that would give good milage.
I really dont see why it would not work good and have plenty of power.
