I know rearend identification has been discussed many times here but... I have been looking all over a 1970 8.2 rear for the I.D./date codes on the pass. side axle tube. Can't find any. Would there be some that were produced that were missing? Or could they be somewhere else?
They are not always where they should be. Look in other places on the tube, and clean it real well, they can be hard to see.
