Can someone elaborate on the term "Divorced Choke".
I believe this has to do when your heat risers are blocked.
    Thanks

Divorced choke is what you have on your stage1 - a coil that is SEPARATE (or divorced) from your carburetor. It is bolted to the intake manifold and used the heat from the exhaust crossover to guage temps.

A different type is the Hot Air choke which is encased in a cylinder on the side of your carburetor with a black cap on it. This one can be adjusted with the turn of a screwdriver. This also used the exhaust crossover to heat the coil, but it actually used "hot air" tubes for the air to travel to the coil, as opposed to being directly bolted to the intake.

Well that shows how much i know!So i allready have a divorced choke,i allways thought i had an "automatic choke".
For some reason i was thinking once your heat risers are blocked and your choke is no longer functional then you have-well- a "divorced choke" :pp :Do No:
