Well, I'm having a divorce sale.
I need the money more than the extra parts.
First is my 64 Skylark bucket seats. $200. Good solid seats that need a re cover. I was going to save these and find a 65 to put them in, but now I think I'll worry about the seats in my next 65 when the car comes along.

    Find pictures here.

    Next, I've got a 350 with transmission, or a turbo 350 by it's self.
$250 for an engine and transmission, or $100 for just a transmission.
    Interested? Shoot me an offer.

Glad to see that you are on here!

About an hour after you left, I was thinking that I should have told you to check out this site.
If you are going to be able to find the manifold that you want, this is the place!

    Transmission gone.

    Seats gone.

    Wife, gone soon!

Model A, will be here within the week.

I think, this will get a nailhead when it's ready for V8 power.
Stock '29 Ford 4 Banger is going in the family room after I dress up and paint an engine stand and clean the heck out of the engine.
Should look cool with fresh paint, new wires, plugs and cap.
No one to tell me it's not going in there either!

I'm assuming you have never gone through a divorce prior with your great spirit you have. You may be lucky to get just a tiny bit of your paycheck and a shirt on your back.

Good luck with your divorce. Hopefully there won't be a model A up for sale soon!

    Good Luck!!!!!!

Ahhh.... You miss read some of it.
If you look at my posting history, you will be able to see by my post count drop that this is about three weeks into this.
    I have reached acceptance.
If I had my way, we would still be a happy family, but I can only control the actions of half of the people in the equation.
I try and keep a positive attitude about thing in life. Some stuff can't be changed and I've spent a little over two years too long overlooking stuff and trying to make things work.
It's over, time to move on. I'm done (for the most part) with feeling bad for myself and I'm planning and trying to get ready for the new life ahead of me with a positive outlook.

I have some extra 65 Skylark spinner hub caps, a 40's Plymouth hub cap, my 67 banner that I had made, soon a '29 four banger dressed up, all to give the house a single car guy look and feel.
Going to be adding to that maybe with a model A grill for the wall too!

Some things in life can't be changed and it doesn't help to feel sorry for your self.
    Look up and move on.

As for her taking stuff..... I owe at least what everything is worth. She has been the bill payer for the last 20 years and now that I'm looking into stuff, I see that it's going to take me six months to a year to get my head above water.
I'm going to give her the '07 truck that for some reason I still owe what I paid for it, and I'll keep making the payment because of my daughter.

    Thanks Joe and Jamie.

She did act happy when we were over there Jamie. I had taken her on vacation, so she was fairly happy.
If this would have happened a couple months sooner, I would still have your 65.

I got rid of it because she wanted to paint the house to help try and sell it to buy another house she wanted.

I'm a hoarder, I don't get rid of the parts unless I need to of a buddy needs them. Might need that extra whatever some day. I had plans to keep the seats because I WILL get another car they fit.

The car is gone and she's going to be renting the house she wanted to buy so it all worked out, for her.
Lucky though, the house didn't sell so I've got a 2400 plus square foot bachelor pad for me and my daughter to kick around in.
The wife will be into her new house in probably a month so I will get two of the three stalls of my garage back, and I can get at least one car into the barn on concrete!

It does suck for my daughter. If it weren't for her we would have only been married 18 years instead of over 20!
My kid and car guys are what have given me the good times that I have had since this all started.

    OMG!!!! You sold that car?!?!?!

Now I'm 10 times more sorry. I hope someone around here grabbed it Dave.

Shame. But sometimes divorce is the best way to go. Your daughter will be happier to see you guys apart and happy than together and miserable.

Yep Joe, the car is gone and no Buick guy got it. The house painter got it.
The quote to paint the house was about $4000 with the paint and he liked the car.
It now sits in a crappy area of my home town, doesn't get driven much and has a tarp over it because he doesn't have a garage and it leaks because of the rust in the windshield, heater core or vent area up front, plus some trunk leaking from the fairly minor back window leak.

I'm eye balling a 65 Skylark that has been under a tarp at a house near the soon to be ex's future house. I could just tell what it was by the parts I could see, then about a month ago he pulled the tarp and moved it to a field.
The rust doesn't look as bad as I would have thought, from 30 feet.
Even if it has more rust than it looks like and isn't economically feasible to fix, it could be a cool driver for a while. Parts when it's not good enough to drive any more.
If I could just ever catch the guy at home!!!

    Thanks Joe.

Hard time make you appreciate your friends.
My daughter, Cars, Car people, and work keep me going instead of dwelling on what isn't good in life.

The weekend after I figured out what was going on I had to work at our local car show. Busy as hell all day and nothing but hot rods and car people around.
Best thing that could have happened for me at that time. No time to think.

I've never named or understood most of the naming of cars, but I think that the model A that I just bought is going to get a name.

Something like therapy. May have that painted on it when it goes for pin stripes!

Things will work out. No matter how bad things are they always work out.
Death is the only thing that you can't turn around and this aint going to kill me!

Sorry to hear that you are going through it also.
Sucks, but life is what it is.

As for the 350...... I'm not so hot to sell it now.
The only reason that I was selling stuff is because my future ex got me to get rid of the 65 to get the house painted a short time ago.
I had parts but no car that I loved.
With the model A that will be in my garage very soon, I now have something to gather parts for. Going to be a slow gathering though. The future ex has been doing the bills and check book for 20 years and now that I have good reason to look into it, I think I'm going to be a year getting back on top of things.
She waited till I was on the brink of financial failure, but without someone else involved I should be able to get back on top of things and a year from now I should have a pretty good car / swap meet budget!
