Hey guys.I am planning on upgrading my pertronix equipped distributor to an Ignition Man/MSD trigger style.I have my eye on the MSD6A and MSD 8200 coil.It should work nice after the curve is set right also.Any thoughts on this set-up?? Will my hooking up my factory be an issue??:Do No: Thanks guys.Later,Tony.

    Tony,
The Tach hooks to the tach terminal on the Box. Don't hook it to the coil, the 6A applies 450 Volts to the coil :eek2: Do you have Dave's contact info?

You can't go wrong with one of Daves distributors, it will plug right into the MSD box, and MSD makes some of the most dependable ignitions out there. Good choice.

Hey Jim.I am 50k south of Ottawa.I go to a few local/regional shows, farthest I went was Belleville with the GS.I have been to the Barrie Flea Market a few times the last few years.I love the drive taking Hwy 7 to Lindsay/Orillia/Barrie.
Very nice country around there :TU: Do you do any events in Eastern Ontario?
What about your car? Thanks for the good words on my ignition, after all the grief I had last season with my GS :( I can take all the good words I can get!!
    Later,Tony.

Tony, I haven't been out to any Eastern car shows with my Buick yet. I was to one a long time ago with a 69 Camaro I had in Oshawa.
As for my car it's been the most fun I've ever had with a car. I bought the car (1971 GS 350/350TH numbers matching) from a Gent in Oshawa in Aug. 03. Spent all last winter doing the body and interior. Got the car all back together and painted (Burnished Cinnimon) in the summer of 04, but only got out to one show out this way.
Presently I'm still working on getting a 464 built, but it's taking along time
This site has sure helped alot I must say, there sure is alot of really nice people on this board :TU: I just wish there was 1/10th of the buick nuts up here as there is in the US! Jim

Hey Jim.Sounds like a nice ride you have. What body and interior work did you do??I have learned a thing or two about the 350,and it can run nice if you want it to.But as the saying goes"No replacement for displacement" :Smarty: I hear you on the "long time" with the engine build.I started in `99 with my heads and finally finished the rest in fall of 03`:Dou:
Being a working man with a house, family etc makes it a bit hard to "stash the cash" for the toys. Not too many Buick performance minded guys around the Ottawa area on or off the board.Maybe 4-5 of us that I know of and I actually have more contact with the board guys than I do them. The people here are great.I have picked up so much info like yourself and had quite a few laughs also along the way.Too bad most of the meets are so far away for us,but I am going to do my best this summer to get to 1 or 2 events.Quite a few people I would like to meet in person and one would hope they feel the same way. So..are you into performance?? What`s your 464 build going to consist of ?? Why is it taking you so long as you say??Feel free to E-mail me off the board if you like.Good talking to you. :TU: Later,Tony.
