whats up, one of my wires going to my distributor from the set of wires coming from the body broke off. I was looking to replace it and was wondering is that the tachometer wire? appreciate it
the tach wire will go to the negative side of your coil. it only goes to the distributor if you have coil-in-cap HEI. what do you mean by going to the body?
i meant the wires that go to the firewall, but yeah i have a coil inside the cap so i can just cut the old wire and rewire it right appreciate it
if the wire is a pink color or red it is the positive side of the coil and this needs to be connected to a switched on off power supply aka your ignition. The Negative side will have a black wire and if I remember it goes into the distributor. Help me on this. its been a while.
distributor yeah my wire is a pink color so thats the positive right so can i hook it up to the battery to make sure it gets power?
