There is also an Accel unit just installed on Musclecars this weekend. I don't know the cost but installation looked easy.

If you want the best one there is, then, davessmallbodyheis.com You simply cannot get better than Dave's conversions. YES, they are more expensive, but, you get a whole lot more than what you pay for.

I'm hoping that there is a favorite brand or style that everyone likes. So far there looks to be the optic sensor type and the halls effect type (?). The optic versions seem to be cheaper. Some have more bells and whistle and I'm wondering if they are really needed. looks to be an easier way of getting rid of the points and (hopefully) being more reliable in the long run and not going with the big bulky stock hei set-ups.

Get the Lectric limited one wire. You get what you pay for. Too many Pertronix for example have failed or given trouble for my taste. Also with the Lecric Limited there is no resistor wire mod needed.

I like the fact that theirs is made in the USA (or at least assembled here). It seems to have a lot of nice features a well.

Thats one I had not come across yet. It's funny how you look them up on a site like summit and they say it doesn't fit a Buick, but if you ask around, people are using them on a Buick. do you have the part # you used? Thanks

One negative for the pertronix II. Anyone using the pertronix III have any issues yet?
