I didn't see any posts about Master Power brakes on the site and I just installed their kit on my 1970 skylark. Here is a short review of the kit my son and I installed last weekend. We installed the "Legend Series " with power booster as my car was manual 4 wheel drum. My spindles and ball joints are in good shape, so I didn't need to replace them. The kit includes cnc machined brackets to allow the use of drum spindles which was what I was looking for. The kit included all parts and fittings needed to do the conversation and it was an easy weekend father / son project. The instructions were pretty good, I'd give them a 8 out of 10. The one issue I found is the illustrations of the brackets installed on the spindle is drawn backwards, if installed as drawn the caliper would be on the front side of the rotor instead of the back side ( 2 o'clock pos.). The written instructions are written correctly and have a note saying that the left and right brackets are specific to there side, but they are not labeled as such. We did have to make 3 brake lines. 2 from the combination value to the distribution block and one to the left front brake which twisted off when trying to remove it. The brake booster / master cylinder came assembled and a bench bleeding kit was included. ( big syringe to inject the fluid into master cylinder and caps for ports ). The rotors and calipers/pads are oem style and size. D52 calipers I believe. We also installed Speedbleeder.com speed bleeders. Very convenient for bleeding ! We also painted the calipers with POR 15 caliper paint to keep the from rusting . All in all a very nice kit, had no missing parts and no fitment issues. I would definitely recommend it if you don't want/ need to change spindles or ball joints. I will try to post some pictures if I can figure that out, lol.
Install is complete and I have around 75 miles on them with no issues. The difference in stopping power is huge , great pedal feel. all round nice kit with easy install.
I have a custom MP Brakes front disc system on my 67. Uses 12" rotors from a 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2-piston calipers from the same year Escalade/Avalanche. Works great.
