Guys, I am in the process of installing 67 4 piston disc brakes on my 66 GS. I thought that the 67 brakes would be cooler cause they are closer in year. But they are actualy tougher to deal with, like wheel issues, parts prices and info. The question I am dealing with now is the brackets that hold the flex line to the frame. I bought some others that are supposedly for disc brakes. They have a different angle and a different shape to hold the line. Does anybody know whats is really going on here? Do I need to change them? Do I have the right ones?(they have part #) About the wheels, would I be better off spacing the stock 14"s a 9/16" out (and replacing the studs) or the wider 15"s 5/16 out? Are they gunna look funny? Or should I just get mags? I like the road wheel look and I thought that the 15"s would look correctish and improve my handling. Please share any info you'll might have with me @ Sayitsimple@aol.com Thank you, Jason

on the bracket issue, there is one kind for disc brakes and one kind for drum. sounds like you have either the drum brackets or the drum hoses.

the brackets are hard to explain...both brackets have hexagonal-shaped holes, but the disc ones have five pointed edges inside. the drum ones have four.

use a file on those brackets, make em fit. Also, don't space your wheels out. You will cause undo stress on the wheel bearings and ball joints. It is very important to keep the same centerline when selecting different wheels, as the geometry is very specific.
    9/16" is a lot of difference.:bglasses:
