Well Kelly, I did see those two knuckleheads on Horseypower Boobtube (oh wait that was the Janet Jackson show :Brow: ) change out all the fluids for synthetic on a late model Trans-Camaro. They tested before and after on the chassis dyno between engine, tranny, and rear. Each test showed a rear wheel gain all the way up to around 16 hp total I vaguely recall. A worthwhile effort for the money I'd say.

We have used Red Line Heavy duty shock proof, and Light duty shock proof fliuds in our racing trans and rear ends. I was impressed when I removed the cover on the rear end on our Quick change rear end 4 months after the last time the car was run to find that the gears and inner case was still covered in fluid.
This is in a S.C.C.A. GT-2 Nissan 350 with a VQ30 engine spinning well into the lower 9000 RPM range.
We had a friend running the same fluids in his tranny, he lost the fill plug at some point during the qualifying session. We pulled the tranny apart, and everything was in great shape.
I plan on running these in my new motor once it is broken in. Also in the drive line. It may be an expencive hit on the wallet at one time, but in the long run I would consider it cheap insurance.
