Did any one ever purchase door panels through Year One or Original Parts Group?
I am interested in purchasing a driver side door panel for my "70" Skylark, just want to know what you guys think of the quality on these panels.

    Hi Ray -

I don't know about OPG, but Year One gets their door panels from Legendary Auto Interiors. Duane Heckman originally sold his interior molds to them, and if Duane developed it you can be pretty sure it's accurate.

Call around for pricing. Sometimes the Year One price with some type of discount may beat out the Legendary price outright.

Hopefully, someone can pipe in here about OPG.

    Good Luck!

    Ray:

If timing makes any difference to you my experience is that the delivery of parts from YO is quick and efficient to the east coast. My experience with OPG is that they are slow and not efficient. On some things they do offer better prices. Both are in or close to their sales window so call for the price.

    Marco / Jim,

Thanks for your input, I will start to look around for the best price, but I didn't want quality to suffer.

    Thanks for your suggestions

    Karl,
Do you know if OPG or Year One will sell their panels individually or do I have to buy them in pairs?

All I need is the drivers side.

I don't know, I'd call them and ask. If they don't, you should check with Legendary. They make them so it's it's likley they may sell just the one.

Called Legendary Int today, they said that they will NOT sererate the panels:mad: I have to buy them in pairs.

They want $261.00 for the pair. All I need is one:Dou: Guess I will have to give Year One a call.

I've been waiting for 3 weeks to get a catalog from both Legendary and OPG. What gives with this terrible service?

    Brad,

NvrDn and I live just a couple miles apart. We ordered OPG catalogs at the same time. Mine arrived a week and a half after his, which was about a month after ordering. So it sounds like you should see it soon if the same pony express rider is carrying it.

edit: I just noticed you live right near them. Maybe they wait till they have a list of people before sending them off. :Do No:

    Thanks Jim. Maybe you're right.

  14. I got my Legendary catalog VERY quickly last year, but I had to request the OPG catalog 3 times over about 6 months before they got one sent to me! I still have not ordered anything from them...
