Did you used to hang out at a full service gas station back in the day?

Yes Tice's since 1808 I think. My wife's family was real close to Pete Van Riper. They used to work occasionally for them and also do the whole Halloween thing with them. Yes I went to Finnegan's once or twice. I was more a Pete's Country Inn attendee (Wash Twsp across from the shopping center). It used to be the Harmony House before that. Walked home from there (smartly) more times than I would like to remember.
    Haha DQ. It's still there.

Holy Heck - that's the place ;-) Looks like it did 20 years ago.
Thanks for the good trip down memory lane. Halloween was a big thing up there... hope it still is!
I used to spend some time at Marty's towing in Westwood (just off of Old Hook Rd). Think it's a Truck Repair shop now. Was good friends with the owner, and even rented space downstairs for a while with a friend of mine. We did some restoration work - mostly Mustangs but did all sorts of things.

Oh my gosh yes I remember Marty's. They were THE game in town back in the day. Across the street more or less from Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood on Old Hook Rd, on the parallel back street Woodland Ave is Valley Body and Fender. It's still there. The owner Ernie Heller (at least back then in the 90's he owned it) owned my GS at one point. He repainted it in lacquer from Crystal Blue to Turquoise Mist, which is the way I kept it.

Dano, you got that right!! Jack would put up w/ alot of crap. He would sometimes stop by in the evenings to try and catch us doing side work (probably drunk leaving Turf Inn after dinner) We never really got in trouble though. Good times for sure.
