I ordered mine and it was 8 inches too short on the lenght. They claim they need to cam cad it, test fit etc...(they said some Buicks have arm rests in them and some do not? I have yet to see that?? And that the rear bench for hard top and post could be different??) Just wondered if anyone ordered through them for a 67 (rear) and had a proper lenght and fit? (convertible does not count in this equation)

As always, any help is apprciated. Thanks!

Is there a chance that they sent you a ragtop back seat cover by mistake? It seems that they are about 8" shorter maybe?

Well, my '66 Special had a wider rear seat....it doesn't have the full size arm-rests that extend to the floor. Just small arm-rest pads that attach to the side panel.

Legendary had nothing for my rear seat similar to Walt's, full width, no armrests. Who is PIU? Yours has armrests, right? Ted

I think its PU and that about sums up the quality of some armrest pads I got from them(through Year One).Legendary is superior.

They are telling me that they DO NOT have the right seat cover in stock and never did. AND that they have to build the design into their computers so their machinery can die cut and make the appropriate one. I sent them the defective one back nov 30th. I dealt through POSTON they have been real helpfull. Just looking to confirm their facts.

My 67 has the armrests that go all the way down to the floor and the cover was still 8 inches too short.

Things are not looking so good with my PUI problem.

Well folks. Keep in mind here that Poston provided PUI with the correct upholstery which was longer in lenght by about 8 inches. They claim the second set I received was made from the correct example provided by Poston Buick. Yet this set was shorter then the 1st set I received. :Dou:

Now they tell me that they have another set and THAT'S IT, they have done everything they can for me :Smarty: . They are telling me that I am the one with the oddball seat. :af: My frt buckets are already done and installed!!!

Ok so enough venting. Can I have some help from you guys? print this off to bring with you in the garage! Seat 1st. Count 3 ribs inn from the front. Use that mark to measure lenght. I have my old cloth seat and it has a center panel, then on each side of that it has a sit your #@s panel, then their is one seam at each extremity of the seat cover (about 2 inches each and run dept of seat). Let me know from where you took your measurement.

On the seat back just measure the lenght from tubing to tubing at each extremity of the seat back. Use the 9th rib from the bottom as your reference point. Finally can you please measure the width at the center panel on each. Thanks for your help.

Thought I would update...It took a long time and finally got resolved thanks to the persistance of the folks down at Poston Buick. PUI was terrible but in the end Poston made sure it got fixed and assured me every step of the way that they would get this resolved. It has a few wrinkles at the hump but looks like poor workmanship and after all this...I can live with it!
