We were up till like 4am staring at this 70 gs on ebay for only 3300. We drooled over this thing for like 4 hours, until finally hitting the buy it now button. We each paid half. The next day he got like 40 emails from guys "oh i was gunna buy that in the morning" or "will you sell that to me". Even the owner emailed asking if we were sure we wanted it. Im pretty sure he got a ton of email from guys asking to buy for higher than we paid for. But that's how ebay works so now I co-own my first muscle car.
I got into Buicks out of ignorance. I knew nothing about cars at the time and had an opportunity to buy a new car from a BOP dealer owned by a friend of my dad. I picked the nicest looking car on the lot and it happened to be a 72 Skylark Custom for a whopping $3800 new. I drove it from the dealer to work where the guy with a '68 GTO made fun of it. I stayed with Buick because I'm bullheaded and it eventually had a 70 Stage 1 driveline in it. I've driven nothing but hot rod Buicks since then. 33 years and counting.
Came home from the hospital when I was born in my '72. May dad gave it to me in '89,and now has a wopping 61k original miles. Don't think I'll be selling this one anytime soon.
