... a car stereo contest, DB drags, hydraulics competition, FWD burnout contest, neon light glow-off, and foam party? If not, how come?
Scott, apparently you weren't there? No sign of any of the stuff you mention. I did not personally need to see any of that, but that's just me.
The only time that green car got my attention is when it's alarm went off. I suppose this sort of modification would be more popular with a different crowd. As long as the owner is happy with it!:bglasses:
Are the scantily clad women there so they can say they had people drooling over their cars?? They certainly do make for nice eye candy next to the eye poison they pose on. Patrick
I guess they painted that car green so it would match the color of puke..................becuase it made alot of people sick. Some dullcote and Buick ralleys with white raised letters needed.
Whoaaaaaa Guys! Hold up here. I saw that green dubbed Skylark with slicks makin' passes down the strip. Plus, he might be wanting to join this board, or maybe he surfs it. I don't care for the look of it either, but its his car and he was out at the show showing AND racing it. And thats whats cool. These shows need to welcome stuff that not all folks like. I've seen some cool Buick lowriders in my time. Plus, if the Mass gang can fry tire everywere, than guys with thumpin' stereos in their Buicks should have a place to sound off.
I agree with Dan, just because you or I don't find it visually pleasing is no reason the guy should be shunned. BTW, I saw the owner dropping some tall $$$ at the TA tent, so it's more then just wheels and a stereo.
I agree, while the car is not to my tastes, it does look very clean with attention to detail. The paint surely wasn't cheap, neither were the wheels. Regarudless of how it was spent, a lot of time and money went into making that car nice (in someone's eyes). Better to appreciate it for what it is, and the guy enjoying the hobby than passing judgement on how he does it.
Ditto. Most of the muscle car world thinks we're all crazy for spending money on Buicks in the first place. In that respect, we're all a bit "different".
No one banned any of the activities mentioned in the initial post in this thread, but there also were probably about zero individuals that might have inquired of the Club officials before the event, as to whether any of those would take place. Without much interest, that kind of stuff won't take place. At this point in time, I kind of doubt very many BPG members would be interested in a hydraulics, neon lights, or stereo competition. Now, bikinis on the other hand... :Brow:  ** the above comments are mine alone, and may or may not reflect the views of club officials. **
BLING I agree with Dan too, I f you stare at it long enough it kinda grows on ya, I'm MASH4551 and I aprove this message.
Hey, I stand by my puke comment..............as a matter of fact I need an icon for it!! .................but since its not a cheby, I will accept it for what it is a................a rocking fast, but very GREEN, Buick.
