Did Buick have reference marks for flexplate/crank alignment?

    NJBuickRacer I'd rather be racing...

I have a harmonic vibration in my '66 from just above idle to approx 5k RPM. The engine was rebuilt, so I think that the flexplate to crank relationship has been compromised. Before I drop the trans and move the flexplate to all 6 positions, is there any marks that I should be looking for? I am dropping the trans anyway since it's slipping so it's not a big problem, just trying to save some time and aggravation.

    Thanks,
    Artie

I swapped transmissions last weekend, the flexplate was off by 2 holes. Now the engine is smooth all the way to 6200 RPM:grin: I wish I could find whoever was doing work on this car before I bought it, just so I can strangle them:af:
