Dex-Cool stuff

    Hey guys...
    The previous owner of my '65 Skylark 300 put some of that Dex-Cool antifreeze in the car. He got all of the old stuff out at least. I have heard bad things about that stuff in old cars and just wanted to get some opinions before I went out in the cold and got antifreeze all over the place. Thanks!

    Here's my experience: Dexcool, good for aluminum, bad for solder in copper/brass radiators and heater cores. It ate several pinholes in the solder on my radiator tank.

    If you've got the copper/brass, which I'm sure you do, I'd dump the Dexcool.
