Driving across Alligator Alley at 11:00 last night I sa two matching minivans with Michigan plates in test-mule camoflauge --whole front and rear bagged, sides shrink wrapped in chevrons, etc -- crusing along from Naples to Fort Lauderdale.

Nothing special -- you would see it every day in Detroit. But Florida? just curious -- is that standard fare? How far do the big three send these things on a routine basis.

    Australia.... :TU:

Seriously, we will send vehicles to a different hemisphere if we need weather that we are currently not having here (ie, it's winter here and we need hot weather) and if we are really desparate. But that is highly irregular.

Usually we go to Phoenix for the Desert Proving Ground, Pikes Peak for high altitude, LA for city traffic. We also go to Vegas, due to it's proximity to Baker Grade and other high heat/long grades. Sometimes Lake Tahoe or Rubicon for off road trips and anyplace there is an assembly plant near by is also fair game.

Not usually Florida in the summer, but I think we do work there in the winter at one of the suppliers, like TRW or Bosch.

    FWIW -
