Does anyone know this Guy? "Dennis Dunlap"He posted for sale a NOS 70 Grill on November 3. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29820 I responded and sent him money($1,100) for the Grill and an NOS Dash Bezel he had. He emailed me on Nov 20th and said he received my check and would be sending shipping info. It is now Dec 3 and I emailed him several times no response and called him many times and no answer. SOMEONE HELP!!! If you know anything about this guy please let me know. Ernie
Did he mention holding shipment until your check clears? Personally, I would wait 10 days for such a check to clear if I was dealing with someone I didn't know personally. The lack of a reply to emails and no answer on the phone has to make you wonder... Dan K seems to be somewhat familiar with Dennis, perhaps he can offer some insight?
Dave, Thanks for responding, I feel the same way about waiting the 10 days until it clears. That is why I'm getting worried now because it has been15 days and no response from him. I checked the bank and the check cleared, If he would only respond to my emails or phone calls I would feel better. Maybe he went on vacation, but he should have at least told me there would be a delay. I know he doesn't know me but I don't know him either.I hope nothing has happened to him. I find most Buick guys to be honest this is why i waited till now before posting this information. Ernie
Ernie, I would suggest going back to the thread in your link, and contacting Dan K with either a PM or email, and ask how well he knows Dennis, or if he has knowledge of his whereabouts or situation. May be a long shot, but worth a try. I sure hope this works out for you. I see Dennis has posted other items for sale too, maybe try contacting some of the guys that replied to his other stuff, and see how they've done, if anyone bought stuff.
Dave, I already sent an email to Dan K and asked him how well he knows this guy and I haven't heard anything yet. Not to many people have responded to any of his postings. I'll keep trying. Thanks Ernie
I believe he had a small muscle car parts business and is now selling whats left.I have a chapter member that lives near him and can do some "leg work" if needed. Peace WB
