    I was trying to cross reference the RPO codes to the codes on this sheet but No go. Is there someplace to find these codes or can someone decode this one?
    Thanks for any help

    Nelson,
    They are not RPO codes, they are Manufacturing codes used by the Flint Production Plant to build the cars.

    I decode these sheets, and it took me over 15 years of cross referencing these numbers, with known original cars, to figure out what all the codes meant for the 1970 cars. Once I had that basis, the other years codes came much easier.

    That is one of my decode sheets. It is a representative copy of the "Production Order Body Final" sheet that you find on the gas tanks. I include a sheet on the back that decodes everything.

    I do them for the 70-72 cars and have all the codes now. I am also working on these for the 69 cars and have almost everything, but a few codes are still unknown.

    This one is an interesting car, are you looking to buy it or do you own it?

    I charge $20.00 to decode one of these sheets and send this "Reproduction" sheet along with the decode to the owners. I made the cost so cheap so owners would send me copies of their original sheets, and I could have their information to cross reference the codes.

    Let me know what you want to do.

    I also decode the following build sheets;
    Production Order Body Final
    Production Order Chassis Paint
    Large Body Shop Inspection Sheets
    IBM 80-column Punch Cards (Usually called location cards)
    The various Fisher Body (Cheat Sheets)
    Protect-o-plates
    Large GMAD Build sheets (Although they take so long I have not done one for years)
    and occasionally help decode the 72 microfilm for owners that got their info from Sloan. Sloan was using the wrong Wholesale Car Order Form for some of their decodes, and the codes were not matching up to the sheets. I also gave Sloan the later sheet, so their codes now all match up.

    So much for this info commercial.
