Looking for the 3 piece trunk trim for the 1969 Skylark or Custom. I plan to mill off the BUICK letters and mount it on my GS. Looking for an Arizona or California part without pitting and must have good studs. Could use the quarter ends as well.

I know that everyone is looking for this stuff (the GS part). Maybe if this works I can post how to do it correctly.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Jim you will find it but it took me awhile. I had to do the did the same thing.
I scored the BUICK part and used a dremel cutting tool to remove it. Keep the metal cool so you do not discolor the chrome. Make sure you have some to spare metal between the cut off and the new GS part. .Then I used wet sand paper 300 -1500 to make it as perfect as I could. Then polished it. Came out out sweet. There is going to be a very slight depression where the BUICK came off. However unless a Buick master is checking it no problem. Also if you have it rechromed they can fill in that 1/16 th of a inch..
Good luck. If you have any questions let me know.
Oh yea if you find one and it has to be mailed Ebay ? make sure you tell the seller you will pay for a shipping tube. UPS destroyed a perfect one I bought. They broke it in 3 pieces.
    Good luck :)

Thanks Dave, still looking for a good one. I passed on one out in Oceanside about 4 yrs ago. Oh well. I'm sure there is a Skylark part out there with my name on it. Unless some very kind individual pulls off thier NOS part and gives it too me with free shipping....

Jim i checked and i found 2. they both have some small pitting. i also found a set of 2 of the small 1/4 pieces but they need chrome. they are discolored.

everything has all the mounting studs intact.

    Doug,

Shoot me a PM with price. Also, the small pitting, is it "blush" type of pits (pin holes/weak crome) or something bigger? Will need shipping to 53583. How discolored are the ends?

    Thanks,
    Jim
