Boondockingbird You could name it "Boondock Bomber" or Tequila Mockingbird" after the old AMT 59 Buick kits...
MOTOR manual says '61 differs from '60 via having 2 stamped steel plates welded together for the lower contol arm and a switch to rubber bushings.... in addition to the aforementioned brake reaction rod... which MOTOR claims are in front (>>"The rearward end of the brake reaction rod attaches to the lower control arm..."<<); perhaps it is '62 that the BRR moves to behind the spindle? I use "A-Arm" as an interchangable term with 'control arm'- my bad.
nope, my 65 Riv and 70 Riv in addition to the AirRide 62 Invicta Wagon all have the BRR coming off of the crossmember under the coresupport. My 61 Buick shop manual shows the rods behind the spindles and the centerlink up against the engine crossmember rather than behind like with the centersump design of the later engines in full sized cars till 71. I've also been underneath 2 of these cars so I know they are behind the spindles.
Did somone say beer-pizza and get to work on a hot buick ?? IM IN !! :TU: also as long as there's heat in that there garage Too
Hey PH! I put the heads & intake in place and there's a problem- the RH head hits the firewall. Either I have to notch the firewall a half-fist size divot (it's not in a good spot) or make a new trans mount.
Nothing new to report- working for a living keeps getting in the way. Bought a windshield gasket, 28 fins clips and 2 rust-free Nevada front fenders (that I do not need for this car- they're either 2nds or flips). Nothing on the car itself in far too long... damnit.
