Does anyone know of a service that refurbishes day/nite mirrors? My mirror badly needs resilvering and the switch for the map light won't keep the light lit. I spoke to a local glass shop about replacing the mirror and they acted like I was crazy. What do people do with ebay or junkyard mirrors in this condition? Could be a new career opportunity for someone!
I have refurbished a good number of these and yes I get the mirrrors resilvered all the time by www.reflectedimage.com. Bring one to BG or the BuickHorsepower Nationals and I will show you some on the cars we did. I will glad to show you how to take the glass out and reinstall it. Better yet bring your car and I will do it without removing the mirror from the car.
