I was up at Arbroath, Scotland the other week at a Seaside spectacular and was asked to show my Buick at the event, as you probably know the founder of Buick was born there..after words when the event was over I got talking to a couple of guys and one was called Eric Buick, (buick is a common name in Arbroath) anyway he took us to see the plaque that was on the wall of the last remaining building on the street where Buick was born....I thought you might like to see a bit of history:TU:

    Hi There,
Neat plaque and very interesting. I am a member of the US Buick Club and personal friend of the founder Greg Field. What Greg and I always found interesting that David Buick is remembered for the Buick Automobile but he also perfected the Porcelain process for bathtubs, sinks etc. before he worked on designing the Buick. Interesting trivia! My family is also Scotch.. the Chisholm Clan in Inverness. Thanks for the post.

    Best Regards,
