Here are some mounts for you to use!

There are a bunch of guys with Buick 350's in thier Jeeps on this site.

    http://www.ifsja.org/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi

What I do know about the subject is that the Buick 350 used pillar type motor mounts instead of regular type. The Buick 350's are the same as the ones found in cars. There are guys putting Buick 455's into FS Jeeps too.

Have you looked at this site?

    or this one?

Nice! Are you guys using the pillar style mounts or have you changed to customs? I've heard mixed opinions about the pillar mounts.

Actually, I have my motor out now. Fresh rebuild, .030 over, Isky cam, (trying to find a 4BBL manifold for the edelbrock 650cfm at a nice price) I was planning on using the stock style mounts? What info have you got????

Well I remember talking about the mount issue of IFSJ a few years ago but I can't remember the details. I do remember that there were some people who didn't like the pillar mounts and made home made ones.

I have a welder and plasma available so making mounts is no big deal for me.

Well...Well! Looks like somebody is bragging? J.K.! I think I'm just gonna go stock. I don't think I'll have a problem. :beer

I'm sure the stock mounts are fine, I'll let ya know if I have any problems with them. Cheers.

I myself just picked up a 1969 Super Wagoneer with the stock Dauntless. She runs great.
