Is there any way to tell if this dash is a 68 or a 69? I called the company and they could not find a P/N on it. They found "5M3135" on the side vent, but I couldn't find that number in my books. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2453060325&category=34206 Ultimately I am trying to determine if it is teal or blue (68 or 69). -Gregg
I've parted out a couple 68/69 cars. The only difference I ever found was extra mounting studs with speed nuts. This was a NJ built car. My '69 GS Cali did not have these extras. The vinyl grain is the same on both years. Might just come down to dying the piece if the shade is off. Simular colors, should come out nice if hi quality vinyl dyes are used.
Where did you see these extra mounting studs? I'm not in a rush for a new dash and I have heard that dyes will show wear if you use your car a lot (like I do). I thought the vents might be different somehow between 68 and 69.
the way i inderstand the difference is the center vent on a A/C car pad. the 1968 pad has a one piece vent and the 1969 has the two piece look with the vertical splitter as shown in the ebay pic.
