Hello, I am Looking to replace my woodgrain on my dash. Parts place sells for $69 and cars & yearone for $49. Does anyone know which is better quality. I also would like to touch up a few blemishes on the chrome around the bezel. Do those chrome paint pens/markers on e-bay work or look decent? Thanks,

I bought mine from a board member that makes the good wood grain inserts. There used to be two different manufacturers out there and his are best. Of course, I can't remember his name right now so hopefully, someone will chime in. Doing a forum search might help though it will be hit or miss. One or two of the online places carried his pieces also, but I don't think you can guarantee which ones their selling at any given time. Sorry for the utter lack of real information other than you want the ones the board member makes.

As for the chrome...the paint is better than it used to be, but still looks like silver paint when sitting next to real chrome plating. I've been tempted to try using some of the rub on silver leaf foil that I used to use when I made model cars. It might work for small touchups.
