I have a dash pad that needs to be restored. What other companies besides Just Dashes are there that can correctly restore the pad? What companies have been used by forum members? Thank you, John
I know that Just Dashes gets some big wood to restore a pad. I heard its like $800 or so. Just out of curiosity, why don't you just get a mint used pad instead? A nice original pad cant be more than $150
See this thread last year on this site: http://www.v8buick.net/index.php?th...estored-not-just-dashes-1-2-the-price.280029/ I am very happy with my new pad.
I was looking at the OPGI catalog and see they are listing new dash pads for the 68 and 69. I have not heard any reports yet but am curious what they are like. Tony
All, Thank you for the responses. I was able to find a beautiful dash pad and I purchased it and installed it back in February. I went out to the garage yesterday to clean the GS up and noticed that the pad had a hairline crack all the way through it just left of the steering wheel. No clue how or why it happened. The last time I drove the GS it was fine. So now I have two pads that are cracked. My original pad was ruined by an a*&h%$# at a body shop that I took the GS to for some minor work. He refused to pay me for the pad because he said it was OLD! I looked at OPGI but theirs are not the same as mine. I have no AC and my pad has a vent on the passenger and drivers side. One thing that is good is that my interior is black; i.e. no extra cost.
Buy a pad from the New England. I have rarely seen one crack up here. Usually paint is all they need.
