I'm trying to remove the dash on my 55 super, and I've got all the bolts out and loosened it except for the drivers side where it seems to be stuck on and I can't find the bolts... any suggestions on where the little beasties may be hiding? Already found two that hold the lower frame to the kick panel and removed the 4 bolts that hold the top column collar on.

    Grr Thanks! :Do No:

    dash removal

I don't know about a 55, but on 64 Skylark, the upper dash bolts a buried under the the windshield adhesive/moulding. Much to my surprise I have to remove the windshield to get the dash out. :Dou:
    Thanks Bruce

I'm restoring the dash of my 56 at the moment. Took it off a while ago, but definatley didn't need to remove the screen. The wiring in my car is very dry and hard and that made it difficult to remove the dash, felt like something was still holding it on. The top dash pad has kinda curled up which gave me easier access too. I could take digital photos of my dash and car and send them to you if you wanted. Pretty sure 55's have the round speedo's and are a bit from the 56 but it may help you
