This will be a little different as far as "Feedback" goes for Buyers and Sellers because the "product" involved cannot be bought or sold.

I am talking about a pure heart, and true caring for a fellow member and his family.

I had the easy part because I was the recipient of this, courtesy of Dana and Beth Andrews.

Last summer my wife was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer (was in her lymph nodes) she went through surgery (a couple actually for different parts of it) then months of chemotherapy and then 6 weeks of intense radiation for every day (except Sat and Sunday). The radiation was so strong it even burnt her back although it was foucused only on the front chest wall.

Our church was incredible during all this bringing meals EVERY day for months, cutting the grass, and anything else we needed while I was attempting to care for my wife and 3 young children.

Now somewhere like church where you meet with folks you know every week is one thing but a club on the computer?Would anyone help from there?

For Dana and Beth Andrews that is a BIG "YES!".

"John do you need meals? Can we send Linda some flowers? Do the children want anything special? We are sending you some cool Buick stuff to cheer you up" (because people believe me I had some real low points during all this).

Every time I got an email from them they were concerned with us EVEN when they lost their own family business.

I have heard from old posts I have reviewed that there have been some problems here on this site but ya know...........problems or not when something that someone started up can result in such good things it is hard to dismiss.

Anyhow Thank you again Dana and Beth as I mentioned in another post "For helping keep the Buick fire alive" even through the flood of tears that threatened to steal our joys.

You guys are great and I am Thankful for a site like this to meet with such good people.

    Best Regards,

    John :TU:

Hey man, sorry about taking so long to respond brother.

Yeh, everyone is doing ok (Thanks for asking).

My wife is still going through some side effects of the current meds (take for 5 years) and the chemo takes a year to totally get out of your body, but her hair is coming back and she is getting her energy back so a BIG "Praise God" there.

So ya saw another 67 WildPhat A ?

Yeh, we had quite a big time in that beast! Lets see if I can remember the combo John C. came up with for that thing........................

Modified B-4B intake, modified 72 Quadrajet (metering rods and drilled secondary flaps I believe) recurved distributor,Worked 70 Stage 1 heads,KB lifters, adjustable pushrods,Kenne Bell "jet boat or "Window Rattler" cam (did just that too!!!!ha ha Loved that cam!) shaved heads with those thin gaskets for more compression and backed up by a heavy duty Turbo 400 with a reprogramming kit and 3000 RPM "Slingshot" stall converter. Then of course the sneaky one large single exhaust pipe :Brow:
I sucked up more unsuspecting prey in that car than probably all of them combined

Hope you have been doing well also man.Good to hear from ya.

    Fritz out

John - I hope that things are on the upswing for you and your family. You are in a lot of people's prayers.

And you are certainly right on the mark with Beth and Dana.....absolutely two of the most genuine people I have ever met.

    Fritzie,
Things are going ok on my end, just been working on getting a couple more motorcycles back on the road, last week I got my 1972 Yamaha XS 650 back together and hope to have the 73 Triumph on the road by June. I'm looking into changing jobs so hopefully that works out too, it sure would be nice to make more than 20K a year

    Dana,
It's more that I want out of retail BAD! but it's also about the money and benifits, the bike shop thing has it's good points but there is no real future in it unless you own the place!
Nice looking place though. As for moving up north...don't you guys get snow up there???

    Kurtling!,

Hey man, do you happen to still have that link I sent you to that old Triumph (1961)?

I found where I sent it in the outbox but the attachment was gone :Dou:

That was the one the ad said it was a 64 (or something) and you said it was actually MORE valuable because it was an earlier year :Smarty:

Anyhow a friend asked me about one yesterday and thought I'd pass it along to him also.

Sorry to hear about the job stuff buddy.I can relate I'll joke around about taking a day off here without pay because we are still a month behind on our checks :eek2:

Still better than 3 MONTHS we had not to long ago :jd: :jd: :jd:

That one almost closed down the family business, which is "just what we needed" as Linda was fighting the battle with cancer.

    This too shall pass though.

Send me that link if ya get a chance :TU:
