Is anyone here in Dallas Texas? I just found out at work today that I'll probably be sent there next week for a month. Yikes!!! What is there to do? Cool stuff to see, cruises, shows, drag strip ???????? Thanks! Tom Jenkins
Depends on what part of dallas, its a huge area! You could probably come to south fort worth and watch the drags once or twice! theres other strips, and some car shows, check out lspbc.org (lone star performance buick)
The GM Plant that builds the Suburbans and Yukons, is in Arlington, TX, just outside of Dallas, TX, I don't know if they have public tours, but I have contacts that may be able to get you a tour, let me know! Lots of shopping and awesome food places, everywhere! Check out the Stadium for the Texas Rangers, Dirty Dicks, a restuarant(SP) downtown, that is fun, the Rodeo at Billy something or other you can eat and watch Rodeo, never had a chance to go there. There's lots to do and see, you can go to DT Dallas to the JFKennedy ordeal too, I haven't have time to go there, when I've been there, only for work, and then for the BCA Nats in '94, and I was there for WORK, more than the BCA Nats. Thanks for the replies. Roberta, I might have to take you up on that. My last 2 tow vehicles have been Suburbans and I will be buying a different one in the spring. I'm not sure which part I'm going to yet. I just found out I'm going right when I got off work today. Looks like I will be leaving the middle of the week next week. Tom Jenkins

I wont be taking my car. I would have considered taking it but I broke it at the Midwest Buick Challenge in Indiana in September. My company actually asked if I would go down for 3 months. I told them they would have to rent a garage large enough for me to work on my car down there. They gave me a strange look. They just don't understand! I agreed to go for a month and I would fly home for 2 of the weekends (including Thanksgiving). Tom Jenkins
Billy bobs is the worlds largest honkey tonk, my parents have been there a few times. I had a lot of fun at the fort worth stockyards, and the assembly plant as well. Theres lots to do down here, maybe we can hook up with a few other lspbc members and play with some buicks! Everything is just a short ride on the freeway. If youre here through mid december you should come to the lspbc xmas party! we're a REALLY hospitable bunch! Let me know when youre down here! :3gears:

If you are in Richardson, go to BONE DADDIES Really fun place, way better than Hooter's Also if you go into downtown Dallas, go to the West End Pub. Tell Earl that Kim and Chris From MN sent you there. The place is like Cheers, nice small pub that has great food and drink.

Shari, We planned on attending the party but I'm not sure now. I get back home on Dec 10, the day before the party. We have plans for sunday so it isn't looking good for saturday night.
