that car is in lubbock, so it is local to me. Previous owner was on this board, but only owned it for a couple of weeks. Has a chevy 350 I think, that is failing.

It is a suncoupe though, so if you are interested, I would be glad to check it out for you.

Why not see if you can get a few pics and see if its rusty. I might be interested in a future project if I knew it wasn't a POS

Ok John. I'll give him a call tomorrow. I have not seen it in person, but I talked to the previous owner. He was going to get some parts. The pictures in the recent ads are horrible.

He doesn't have it advertised local and this is his ad in the Austin CR:
CLASSIC 1972 BUICK SKYLARK COUPE WITH GOOD BODY, ENGINE HAS A WINDING SOUND TO IT, IT IS DRIVABLE. ITS WORTH 6000 AS IS RIGHT NOW. WITH A LITTLE TLC YOU WILL HAVE A 30,000 TO 40,000 VALUE PRICE ON THIS CAR, IT IS A GREAT INVESTMENT.

So John, sounds like with a little work, you could have a winner here.

I'll let you know what I find.

30,000.00 to 40,000.00 Where do these guys get this BS.  With 30 to 40 invested you would have a nice 15,000.00 Suncoupe:Dou:
I think he needs to keep the chevy parts so it will be lighter for the trailer:bla:

John, I talked to the guy today. I know where the car is and can go take a look for you tomorrow if you are interested. He says it's not rusty. But then again, he says it is worth 6k as is and 40k with a little work.

Let me know if your interested.

I would be interested. If its not too much trouble if its not a rusty hulk. The normal A body spots ie trunk, inner and outer rear and floors especially bad on Suncoupes under the seat pan and front floors. See if the top slides back and forth easily. Basic condition of the while car. Is it able to pull itsself onto a trailer

    John,
Did you see the gold one on ebay?

Yes I did. I am watching it also. I found it once online at a Texas consigner and it was already sold. Looks to be an ok driver.

i went by and saw the silver one today. It is a project. Frame is nice, not pitted, and floor/trunk seemed to be good. Didn't a pear to be a rust bucket. It does have a buick 350/2 in it, and he says it will runmbut is making a whining sound. Somebody told him it was a rod, but possibly a belt. Didn't have a battery in it, so I didn't hear it. It is a 75 code fire red originally. Roof parts are there, but not working and leaking bad. Core support had only mild rust under battery. May have been a good old west texas car all its life.

Pm me or call if you want more info John.
