    Hi,

Well I got the car out this past week and took it up to Home Depot to get some small stuff. As I leave, I pull up behind a new Mustang GT with these license plates on it. So naturally I just have to start something. I make sure he sees me, so when the light turns green, he takes off smartly enougth so that I can get next to him at the next light.

He's got the windows down and the tunes cranking with his buddy riding shotgun. His buddy looks over like this is going to be an easy kill and he's ready to go. Needless to say, when the light turned green, it didn't last very long before I could see his whole car in my rear view mirror. I then slowed down for my turn and as he came by I yelled over "See you later!". He was not amused. :bla:

When are these kids going to learn that just because it's new, doesn't make it King of the streets.

And what is even worse for him is the humiliation of getting trounced by a Buick. He thought it was a going to be a slaughter on his part, no doubt.

Mustang people always set themselves up for disaster with bragging and boasting and then they go and put plates like that on their cars...it's only going to come back and bite them in the ass.

That is why I will never put a plate like that on my car. There's always someone out their faster that can say :error: about your plate when they spank you. Modesty is the best policy. Let your car do the talking for you.

That said, I would love to get my hands on one of those "The Heartbeat Stops Here" window decals.

My '67 has "BIGQBS" as a license plate. Funny thing...nobody's ever tried to find out just how big "BIG" is. Maybe it's a Buick thing...

Its funny you would mention the license plate cause I come across some funny ones when I'm driving on a highway. Although my plate is no different I guess, to me it describes my car. 2TONE meaning the car has two-tone paint, and T meaning its a T-Type. Anyway good kill.:TU:

I have to admit that I had a vanity plate years ago on a car I owned. But it didn't challenge anyone to a race.

It was COPTEZR (cop teaser) on my Maserati Ghibli.

    Nice kill, Phillip.

I can imagine how you felt in that moment.
But the situation in the US is a bit different than here.
In Austria we don´t have many US-car around. So you have to be really lucky to catch one at a traffic light. Maybe once a summer.
But enough ricers, Volkswagen, BMW ect.
I always like to kill those new "recycling product vehicles".
Last year I drove my 64 T-Bird nearly every day. I know, it´s not a muscle car but the 390 runs strong and I put a little bit of a cam in and had the cruise-o-matic built and modified the converter to 2200 stall.
It runs in the upper 14´s. And I had some good kills with that boat. ;)
Now I´m selling the T-Bird and I will use the Centurion as my summer daily driver. Let´s see what this one can do.

Local GN (heavily modded) has a great license plate frame on the rear. It says

" Gone Mustang hunting, be back in 9 seconds".

And he has the kahoona's to back it up.

I always liked Ron Mooneys modified 87 GN. The license frame says, you better, think twice, and when he steps on the brake, the third brake light says "YOU LOST"
