There was an option on 70 GS called custom upper peak moldimgs. What was that/where are they on the car? Is this what some people call a "halo top"?
    Thanks,

    John,
The upper peak moldings were 4 thin chrome strips that were mounted about an inch or so down from where the door and quarter panel glass windows meet the body.

The Halo Vinyl tops were available in 1972. The tops did not go all the way to the outer drip rails and back window, so they had extra chrome strips that surrounded them, giving them a "halo" look.

Thanks fellers, that's what I needed to know. I'm looking at a 70 GS 455 that is for sale and it has these moldings. I guess I had nerver seen or noticed them on any other car and was trying to figure out which option it was on the order sheet. Thanks again. This board is a great thing.
