does anyone know of a custom setup for a manual trans that would use a hydraulic clutch setup (like a modern car?). i would think that a hydraulic slave cylinder and hydraulic clutch would be the solution to placing a maunal trans in a lot of buicks that either did not come with manuals (like rivs) or cars that had very few manuals chosen as tranny options (like wildcats).

i wouuld think that these parts might be in the rod and custom car world.

    does anyone have any info?

With the right know-how and/or help, you can pretty much do anything your heart desires.

    Do some research.

    Go for it! :TU:

I am investigating this ? myself. It looks good for having a hydraulic throwout bearing for my Nailhead bellhousing (which is a weirdo shaft mount operated throwout) There is one specific throwout bearing for the Tremec trannie I will probably try first. Some of them look like they are mounted with one of the trannie bolts (with a stud coming off the bolt head) and some use the ball stud that the clutch fork would normally pivot on to hold in place.

Another item I found just yesterday is a clutch and brake pedal set up sold by Ames Performance (Pontiac supplier). Hopefully it can be adapted to the Wildcat's current pedal mount and connect up with the clutch's hydraulic cyl and still hook up to the Wildcat's brake master cyl.

do you think that the Hot rod and custom magazines would have companies that stock these type of "generic" pedals and hydraulic clutch assemblies?
