This is going back a bit. Early 90's. I purchased some door panel cardbord from Poston for a 67 GS. They were black and denser than the orig. The holes for the arm rests were there and cut outs for the power window switch and window crank. Perhaps they would have them for a 65. Ray
Go to a good craft store, like Hobby Lobby or Michael's, and look by the poster board. There is a plastic material that is like corrugated cardboard, only plastic. That is what I used. Don't have to worry about it ever getting wet and warping...
Watch TV.... Shows like 'American Hot Rod', and 'Rides' often show custom interior panels being built. For door panels, most start with Luan plywood....which is about 1/8"- 3/16" thick. It's stiff, easy to cut, and will hold up well. Some shops even use thin plastic panels, for extra water resistance. And visit the interior forum at www.hotrodders.com There is ALOT of good info there. :TU:
