I was looking at some pictures of a 8- barrel setup for a nailhead and it looks like it could easily be built for next to nothing (not including the carbs). Do you think it would work? Here's a pic. of the nailhead i was looking at.

Yeah, it looks like it could be built. The carbs appear to be rochester 2gc's which are still available, however, the hood clearance with a setup like that would be an issue with most cars of our vintage. It appears the car in the photo is a 32 ford which has ample clearance. Someone went through the trouble of making adapters to go from a rochester 2gc to an old stromberg 97 manifold flange( 3 bolt flange on the manifold). Jeff
here is a 6x2 intake for the nailhead motor that some one in Portland has just begun to manufacture. This nailhead speed shop is called northwest speed equipment, they're new, but I've seen them post a few things up on eBay, and some of the other Buick discussion groups.
