This is a picture of a custom crossmember that is on '70 GS for sale on eBay. This is kind of what I was thinking I would have to do to get around my header problem (see -What headers fit with a Muncie- thread). I wasn't thinking of making it tubular, but this sure looks like it works. And I am thinking I can make something probably for less than what new headers and headpipe would cost me.
Thanks for posting this. I went into Ebay to check out the car, it has had some time and Green put to it. I have never seen a xmember like that one before, it sure does give some interesting idea's. If any one finds that its manufactured please post it. My biggest question would be does it save any wieght over the stock member. Bret
