I have a pair of custom Buick chairs that I built about 12-15 years ago. They started as old rocking chairs from a local hospital. I estimate them to be from the late 1940's or early 50's, but I could be wrong. Either way they're pretty old. I took them all apart and rebuilt the leaf spring, (used for the rocking motion), the seat cushions and upholstery. I then had the "BUICK GS" embroidered into the seat backs. The frames were painted with a Black urethane and hand painted flames on the feet. They are a very unique collectable that I just dont have room for any longer. I feel bad selling them, but hopefully someone else can enjoy them for a while! They are in very, very good condition and present themselves as new. I would like $450 for the pair or $250 each. I really dont want to split them up to separate buyers, but I will if its my only option. Be the only one in the world to own these custom Buick chairs! (These would need to be picked up locally or I could deliver to BG in Oct, but I really don't want to ship!)
Hey Dan, That would be great .... I could visit them. Also wanted to talk about going racing this Saturday. I'll call you. Steve
Out of curiosity, how tall are those chairs? They look really short. How about something cool to go between those chairs Dan? I've got an aluminum V-4 block I was going to turn into an end table. Maybe we could work out a trade on some cylinder heads? :Brow:
Hi John, I could measure them and get back to you. They aren't any shorter than a normal chair though. Which dimensions are you looking for? John what type of trades, on what type of cylinder heads?? Steve
 I was directing the trade thing towards Dan, thought he was gonna get them? o No: I'm going to make that small end table out of the block and a wiped out cam I have; just looking for an idea on height. I know Dan has a set of heads that could work, but I'm looking for some good, early heads instead of the smoggers that are sitting on top of my engine right now; preferably cores, cause at this point I can't afford much more than that. I have absolutely no idea how the current engine in my car managed to make 360 HP @4500, with 474 lb/ft @3600. That's with '75/'76 heads and stock intake of the same era.
Het Steve- I just forwarded the link to this to him...these are a must for his car Complex!!! You should be hearing from him soon!
Sorry there buddy!! A BIG thanks to Scott for helping me make some room!! :TU: (at least after BG!) lol
