Curious... what hung on the throttle linkage of this Carter?

  1. Greetings,
At the moment I have a 1966 Carter sitting on top of my '64 Nailhead. It only has a few differences from the 1964 Carter, one of which is I have what appears to be two hook-ups for throttle linkages. Check out the spare hookup where my red arrow is. Did '66 Nailheads get some kind of mechanical kick down or TV cable to the tranny off this additional post? Or is this some dual 4bbl carb on the wrong motor?

Just curious. :Do No: Anyone know?

  3. Hello again Greg!

Actually, I have the right kickdown for the car, but the wrong carb for the car. My Carter that is original for the car was so messed up it was easier to purchase this '66 carb off flea-bay rather that mess with the original.

Kickdown goes there on a '66, eh? I guess it is the same kind of elecrical switch, but is held captive on the linkage.
