    Hello,
I have a 76 big block 455, .30 over. I inadvertently placed my number two rod cap on backward. When I attempted to turn the motor over it was obviously snug. I made one rotation before I realized what I had done. When I put the cap on correctly the problem was solved. Motor turned over just fine.

Here is the problem, I have a very fine ridge around the crank cheek. I want to reiterate that this ridge is very fine. I barely can feel it on my finger. You have to really look at different angles just to see it. The crank has been turned .10. I have read that you can use crocus cloth with oil to polish out minor imperfections. I didn't want to go any further until I checked with the group. The bottom end of this motor is just about complete and I would like to see if there is anything I could do.

    Thanks for the help.
